Meet the dogs
Every dog below is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and living with a DC-area foster family who can tell you everything about them.
Adoption fees
Fees never come close to covering what we spend on each dog — the rest is covered by donations. Every adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming, and a leash-and-treats starter kit.
| Age group | Adoption fee | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Puppies (under 1 year) | $350 | Full vetting, microchip, starter kit, puppy class discount |
| Adults (1–7 years) | $250 | Full vetting, microchip, starter kit |
| Seniors (8+ years) | $150 | Full vetting, microchip, starter kit, senior bloodwork |
Adoption questions, answered
Where can I meet the dogs?
We're a foster-based rescue, so our dogs live in homes across DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia rather than in a shelter building. Once you apply, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet with the dog's foster family — often at a park, on a walk, or at one of our weekend adoption events.
I rent — can I still adopt?
Absolutely. Most of our adopters rent! We'll just confirm that your building allows dogs (and any breed or weight limits) as part of the application.
How long does the process take?
Usually one to two weeks from application to gotcha day. If you're ready to move quickly and the match is right, it can happen even faster.
What if it doesn't work out?
We stand behind every adoption for the dog's whole life. If circumstances ever change, the dog comes back to us — no judgment, no questions. We also offer two weeks of "foster-to-adopt" trial time for tricky matches.
Do you adopt outside the DC area?
We place dogs throughout the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia). For homes beyond about an hour's drive, ask us — we sometimes make exceptions for the right match.
